develop the future

Helping students turn an idea into an app, and seeing themselves in tech industry.

Develop the Future brings code, creativity, and industry mentorship together. Through the Career Education Council, I support students as they shape ideas, learn app-development foundations, and build the confidence to share what they create.

My role

Guidance that meets students where they are.

As a Program Facilitator and Technical Mentor, I help make the path from first concept to working prototype feel approachable. That means explaining technical ideas clearly, working through roadblocks, and keeping each student's own perspective at the centre of the project.

The goal is bigger than learning a tool: students practise creative problem-solving, collaboration, pitching, and the confidence to imagine themselves in a technology career.

Learning with Apple technology

From first sketch to an app students can call their own.

01

Swift

A clear, expressive language for learning the foundations of app development.

02

SwiftUI

A visual way to connect code with the interfaces students are imagining.

03

Xcode

The workspace where an idea becomes a prototype, ready to test and share.

What the program makes possible

01

Accessible app design

Students learn the building blocks of app creation through projects that matter to them.

02

Creative confidence

Ideas become prototypes through experimentation, feedback, and practical problem-solving.

03

Industry connection

Mentorship connects classroom learning with real roles, workflows, and possibilities in tech.
